“Galvanize” is the new, exciting and appropriately named sophomore album from LEAGUE OF DISTORTION, because that is exactly what they are about to do with their position in the world of modern metal and it would be a very unwise man or woman to bet against them.

“Galvanize” is the superb follow up to their 2022 self-titled debut album and this time out Napalm Records have really allowed LEAGUE OF DISTORTION to flex their musical muscle and metal credentials. “Galvanize” is a steroid enhanced powerhouse of a performance with plenty of head turning, pumped up and shredded attitude that will leave you screaming out for more! If you love modern metal, then you are going to absolutely love LEAGUE OF DISTORTION and “Galvanize” will rock your world.

There are hard hitting, heavy riffing and pulsating tracks like “Chainsaw”, “In Our DNA”, or the Titanic theme tune’s blackened metal sister song “My Hate Will Go On” that deliver hefty attention-grabbing blows to grip you hard and drag you in.

Electronic infused and high tempo earworms such as “My Enemy”, “Crucify Me” and title track “Galvanize” simply beg for you to crank up the volume to maximum whilst instantly triggering you to singalong with Anna ‘Ace’ Brunner’s raspy rock vocals.

“Suck My Blood”, “What’s Wrong With Her?”, and “Anti-Hero” with its almost Bond-like theme sound have much darker undertones as well as demonstrating LEAGUE OF DISTORTION’s knack to vary the pace and mood of their delivery at will. Flat out curtain closer “The Crown” rounds things off with a full-on flourish to leave you gasping for more and reaching across for that play button once more.

LEAGUE OF DISTORTION absolutely know that they are onto a winning streak with “Galvanize”, and it shows in everything they do on this superb album. In this competitive field, where the bar for modern metal is constantly being raised, LEAGUE OF DISTORTION are most definitely in that group of elite bands that are pushing those boundaries ever further and setting those standards ever higher. “Galvanize” has certainly “Galvanize”d me into action and I have no hesitation in doing anything other than highly recommending it to you!
